EJG] I have been asked, "why *not* pass it on?" One reason: because people lose control of their senses when they receive something on the internet and pass on so many things that couldn't really be true that 1) it *cheapens* real information to get treated that way most forwards do: a bunch of '>' marks to the side, improper line wrapping, the dates (see above) and other verification information deleted, a series of 'Fwd's in the subject line, and everyone who's ever received its edress in the body of the note; 2) it may make the true and the false harder to distinguish for some who lack the means of verification, etc.; 3) since you don't know who all subscribes to this list, some people could end up with a thousand copies of the post; 4) etc. The best thing to do is have your friends, neighbors, relatives, and pets all subscribe to CLiMB. I am very cautious and won't allow an erroneous post to stand even if one should slip through.
